The
Resort Operations Director
position reports directly to the Area Resort General Manager and is responsible for maintaining resort operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing standards and procedures to obtain optimum efficiency and economy of operations. Additionally, the person must possess and adhere to the following core values:IntegrityPassionWork EthicAs the Resort Operations Director, you will:Create an atmosphere of positive employee/management relations in which employees are willing and able to maximize their potentialEffectively monitor and actively participate in the customer service efforts of the hotelOversee that all employees receive orientation, training, and resources necessary to ensure employee effectiveness and continued developmentOversee the physical appearance of the propertyManage demand, forecasting, and inventory as it relates to driving revenue opportunity for the resortPlay an active role in the strategic planning, marketing, and budgeting processesResolve guest complaints. Respond quickly to guest requests in a friendly manner. Follow up to ensure guest satisfactionOversee all facets of Resort OperationsEvaluate and develop action plans for monthly and annual financialsOversee training and development of personnelTake charge of all emergency situations on propertyAct as the resort manager on dutyAlways provide a professional image through appearance, dress, and professional behaviorWork with Concierge VIP Services to ensure owner satisfaction and making the salePromote CFI/Westgate Resorts' philosophies throughout the resort to both employees and guestsPerform other duties as assignedQualifications
Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university or equivalent work experience; Hospitality Management or related field preferredMinimum of five years related experience as a department head in a hotel operations role, with at least two years in a luxury hotel settingStrong knowledge of Forbes 5 star hotel ratings and luxury hospitality standardsPossess operational experience and understanding of engineering, housekeeping, front desk, whole ownership, and retail managementMust be able to work weekends and holidays and be flexibleProven track record of improving guest satisfaction scores and implementing service excellence initiativesStrong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and revenue managementExcellent leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff across multiple departmentsProficiency in hotel management software and property management systemsAbility to work under pressure and to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentExceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with guests, staff, and stakeholders at all levelsKnowledge of health and safety regulations and emergency procedures in the hospitality industryDemonstrated ability to manage and resolve complex guest issues and complaintsStrong understanding of group and transient sales process and forecasting processAdditional Information
