DESCRIPTION

The Global Books Pricing team is seeking a motivated self-starter who's passionate about developing strategy and new initiatives that impact the future of our business.

The Senior Product Manager supports two critical functions that make Amazon the top choice for readers around the world:Pricing Strategy:

working closely with US and WW Books Pricing team leaders to help define, build, and deliver pricing strategies, products, and programs that earn customer trust.Pricing Operations:

supporting our pricing intelligence and pricing engines.The role is inherently cross-functional - you will have to work with a diverse team including Pricing, Product Management, and Vendor Management, as well as stay closely connected to various global teams at Amazon to assist the delivery of the best pricing experience for customers.

In this role, you'll have the opportunity to:Evaluate the Books landscape and adjust our pricing strategy accordingly, balancing a strong customer focus with profitability initiatives.Develop and report on key pricing efforts and metrics to Books senior leadership.Understand business objectives from various stakeholders and continually align your work with those objectives.Analyze and develop solutions for business problems at their root, stepping back to understand the broader context. Document clear requirements for your initiatives.Drive and launch initiatives to completion and success, partnering effectively with supporting teams.To be successful in this highly visible role, you should be able to work in a dynamic environment, think big, and be comfortable navigating complexity and ambiguity. You should have strong business and communication skills, be comfortable analyzing data to provide data-driven recommendations, and be able to partner with stakeholders to help define key business questions and build solutions that answer them. You will be expected to have a detailed understanding of our business while never losing sight of the broader problems that we are trying to solve.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS5+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development, or technology experience.Bachelor's degree or equivalent.Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product.Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition.Experience with end-to-end product delivery.Experience as a product manager or owner.Experience owning technology products.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSExperience in influencing senior leadership through data-driven insights.Experience working across functional teams and senior stakeholders.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $124,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $206,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
