Produce a complete documentation package for each customer’s program to ensure correct documentation during an aircraft visit. The Records Specialist will also be responsible for training and maintaining all training documents for Records personnel (Records Clerks).Pick up Aircraft Maintenance records from designated areas in accordance with customer programs and TIMCO policy. Ensure that the records have been properly accounted for by the PC’s.Properly audit and correct tally log in the Production Control booths and stamp for all records removed before the departure of Aircraft.Audit all aircraft records for completeness, accuracy, appropriate references, and proper signatures. Reject any paperwork not meeting required criteria to the appropriate Inspector. Include with the reject notice a written explanation of the discrepancies requiring correction. Maintain a data base report showing all discrepancies identified.Maintain a data base report capable of showing all discrepancies identified. Reports generated will be capable of sorting discrepancies by department, skill code, individual, service order and operation number to aid in aircraft maintenance reliability.Prepare Operational Status Reports on a daily basis, Master Service Order Report at the close of the service order and flag all pertinent information concerning major/minor repairs in accordance with FAR43 for filing of the FAA Form 337 Major Repair /Major Alteration Report.Account for and file all aircraft records, including non-routines, routines, parts tags, reo’s, ea’s, travelers, job pass downs etc.Prepare FAA required maintenance documents/reports (337) and route to appropriate personnel.Maintain and control the above referenced documents in the facility’s historical files, IPM and customer’s GMM, as applicable to the F.A.R’s.Support customer representatives in research of aircraft records, to include acting as company liaison with various customers as required.Complete training of Records Clerks in regard to customer’s paperwork requirements and keep them updated on changes in paperwork procedures and training procedures.Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.Will be cross-trained to perform PC functions when required by Director of Inspection.Provide administrative support to the Quality Department as needed.What you need (Requirements)High school diploma or equivalent.Minimum one (1+) year aircraft related experience.Basic computer knowledge to include Microsoft Office.Must have working knowledge of aircraft documentation.Individual should be a highly motivated individual comfortable working with minimum supervision.Normal office environment where approximately 60% of work is performed in a sitting position, approximately 40% is spent walking and moving around the office area and between hangars.Filing duties required typical bending, stooping, reaching, and stretching.Normal or corrected hearing and vision are required.Must be able to work assigned schedule with minimal absences.
