with an additional facility in Elgin, Illinois.This position requires an on-site presence in McHenry, IL and Elgin, ILWhat We Offer our Director of Supply ChainExcellent salary and bonus potentialComprehensive benefits plan, which is affordable to our employees401K with matchPension Plan16-week Paid Parental LeaveGenerous PTO package, including 14 paid holidaysA great place to work!Education/Experience Requirements: Director of Supply ChainBachelor’s degree preferably in Business or Supply Chain required; Master’s degree preferredMinimum of eight years’ related manufacturing materials management and purchasing experienceSAP-Highly proficientStrong experience with 3PL operationsHands-on experience with MRP system in an ISO environment preferredProficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, etc.) and a Windows environment requiredExcellent verbal and written communication skillsSupervisory experience necessary to support Essential Functions Ability to manage multiple conflicting prioritiesExperience working in an environment with global objectivesPosition Responsibilities: Director of Supply ChainStructural and methodical development of integrated MLLC supply chain planning processes.Effectively and efficiently manage the internal operations of the Sales and Operations Planning and Inventory team through execution and delivery of results that meet demand planning requirements, compliance requirements, provide service excellence and meet organizational profitability goals.Leads the Sales & Operations (S&OP) planning process by driving alignment with cross-functional partners including Sales, Product Management, Operations (Supply Chain) and Finance.Demand Planning/Forecasting: ownership of the demand plan and trend analysis for both consumer and professional channels. Responsible for forecast analysis and inputs for strategic accounts (MLLC), lead collaborative interdepartmental efforts resulting in adequate inventory and safety stock levels that support demand variance. Incorporate account level business intelligence and ensure timely and accurate forecast projections monthly.Escalation path for all planning departments.Ensures that the company’s investment in inventory is minimized, and that all specifications and customer requirements are met.Responsible to develop, check accuracy, and post/disseminate departmental, KPI, and vendor metrics with global input as needed. Analyze current performance, identify gaps to objectives, then develop and execute improvement plans (using LSS, etc.) that allow the business to meet or exceed targeted goals, including minimizing inventory write-offs.Develop and implement proper procedures, policies, and controls locally and globally to ensure regulatory compliance (FDA, cGMP, QSR, ISO), as demonstrated by on-time training; successful audit results; organized, clear, and easy to find documentation/records; and adherence to all formal processes as required.Support Medela in properly resolving product issues. Work closely with cross-functional teams on expeditious root-cause analysis and development of clear action plans to resolve all supply chain and project performance issues.Train and implement a variety of supply chain strategies (S&OP, Kanban, etc.) as necessary to reduce lead time, improve turns, and improve on-time delivery of components to the production area to allow for 100% schedule compliance. Demonstrate and train your team on the business acumen required for the MLLC supply chain budget.Lead the efforts to analyze risks in the supply chain and establish proper contingency and surge capacity plans as needed.Manages all distribution center processes including accurate receipt, timely replenishment and distribution of product to the picking/shipping and production areas to ensure maximum levels of customer service.Responsible for creating and maintaining a budget for the distribution center.Supervises employees by planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.This is not a job description.
