The Vice President of IT will be responsible for overseeing the strategic direction and operational management of BearCom's IT systems and services. Requires a visionary leader with a deep understanding of information technology, a proven track record in managing complex IT environments, and the ability to drive innovation and efficiency. This role requires extensive experience in managing IT operations in a complex, multi-office, and hybrid work environment.

Coordinates and provides leadership in the formulation, evolution and execution of BearCom's information systems. Responsible for the day-to-day management and support of the information systems.

Responsible for all software, hardware and infrastructure as well as with the overall management of an organization's data.

Manages the continuous review, evaluation, and rollout of security tools and security administration tools.

Develops and executes the IT strategy aligned with BearCom's overall business objectives. Identifies emerging technologies and trends in IT and assess their potential impact on the organization. Leads the development and implementation of IT policies, procedures, and standards.

Drives the adoption of new technologies and solutions to operational efficiency, and data management. Leads initiatives to enhance interoperability and integration of information technology systems. Fosters a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the IT team.

Develops and directs response to any emergency or disaster that compromises the ability of the information systems of the organization to support business activities. Develops and implements disaster recovery plans to reduce the impact if critical systems are lost, avoid the loss of critical information and to minimize the duration of any downtime.

Oversees the day-to-day operations of the IT department, ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of IT services. Manages IT budgets, resources, and vendor relationships to optimize cost and performance. Ensures the integrity, security, and availability of IT systems and data.

Manages the information systems division assuring that they are adequately staffed with competent individuals who are current in their expertise, competency and performing to the expectation of the organization. Participates in hiring, retention, evaluating, disciplining and termination of division staff.

Ensures adequate ongoing educational programs and training opportunities for all staff members including orientation, in-service education and safety education. Develops teamwork, motivates staff positively. Encourages staff participation and communication in decision making.

Provides leadership and consultation to the management team in the evaluation, selection, implementation of computing systems and applications. Makes recommendations to the management team on the acquisition/replacement of computer systems and applications.

Develops, communicates and implements information security guidelines to prevent data loss and/or mitigate liability for loss in accordance with government regulations and audit recommendations.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science or related field. Master's degree or MBA preferred.

Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in IT management with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.

Proven experience in developing and executing IT strategies and managing large-scale IT projects.

Experience in contracting, negotiations, operations management, business and clinical support.

Strong knowledge of infrastructure, IT systems, including ERPs, software systems and databases.

Expertise in IT security, compliance, and data privacy regulations.

Experience developing and instituting network security and incident response operational policies and procedures at an enterprise level.

Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work collaboratively with executive leadership, and other stakeholders.

Skilled at building and maintaining relationships at all levels within the organization as well as vendors, current and potential partners/vendors.
