JOB SUMMARY:
The IT Asset Manager is responsible for managing the procurement or coordination of procurement, assignment, and lifecycle of IT devices including cell phones, company laptops and tablets. They work closely with HR, IT, Verizon, and end-users to ensure smooth onboarding, effective inventory management, and cost optimization. Additionally, this role involves maintaining accurate records in Endpoint Manager/Intune and providing monthly reports to the billing group and leadership.
SALARY RANGE:
$75,000.00 - $85,000.00 annually (companywide)

Mobile Device Management
Onboarding & Procurement: Collaborate with HR and IT to assess new hires' mobile needs; manage device procurement and porting with Verizon. Ensure device kits are ready for deployment.Deployment: Oversee distribution, activation, and assignment of devices to employees or departments, managing kitting, porting, liability transfers, suspensions, and disposal.Support & Repairs: Work with IT and support teams to coordinate timely repairs, replacements, and upgrades for mobile devices and workstations.Technical Support: Provide troubleshooting assistance to users for device-related issues.Inventory Management
Record Keeping: Maintain inventory records for all mobile devices and computers, tracking model, serial number, location, and user via Endpoint Manager/Intune.Cost Monitoring: Track costs for device procurement, maintenance, and disposal; ensure accurate reporting for monthly invoicing.Procurement Coordination: Acquire workstations in line with budgetary constraints, maintaining a seed stock for fast deployment.Data Plan Optimization
Plan Management: Regularly review and adjust Verizon data plans for optimal usage and report cost savings to leadership monthly.Device Upgrades & Transitions
Upgrade Monitoring: Track eligibility and coordinate upgrades or device changes as needed.Laptop Deployment and Management
Integration: Manage laptop integration using Endpoint Manager/Intune, ensuring accurate user assignment and reporting.Inventory: Maintain regional inventory levels to support timely deployments for new users.Asset Lifecycle Management
Return & Redeployment: Oversee the return, check-in, and wiping of equipment, preparing devices for redeployment or decommissioning via buyback programs.Reporting & Documentation
Audits & Assessments: Conduct regular audits and financial assessments to identify cost-saving opportunities.Billing & Leadership Reports: Prepare monthly billing reports for mobile devices and laptops; provide leadership with updates on inventory, cost savings, and improvement recommendations.Collaboration
Cross-Departmental Coordination: Serve as the main contact for mobile and laptop-related inquiries, working closely with HR, IT, and Verizon to streamline processes and resolve issues.QUALIFICATIONS:
Education & Experience
Associate's or bachelor's degree in IT, Business Administration, or related field preferred.Proven experience in IT asset management, procurement, or a related field.Skills & Competencies
Strong organizational and multitasking skills.Excellent communication skills with the ability to work directly with vendors, end users, and leadership.Proficiency with Microsoft Endpoint Manager/Intune or similar asset management tools.Familiarity with mobile carriers, particularly Verizon, and knowledge of data plan optimization.Basic understanding of IT procurement processes and inventory management.Ability to analyze data and present findings in a clear, concise manner.Certifications
Certifications in IT asset management (e.g., ITIL, CHAMP) or related fields are a plus.
