Job Summary:

As an IT Asset Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing and optimizing our client's IT asset portfolio on a global scale. You will be responsible for demand planning, inventory analytics, audit and compliance, reporting, sourcing, purchasing, order orchestration, and vendor management. You will be managing the entire lifecycle of our IT assets, from procurement and distribution to maintenance and disposal. This role requires a deep understanding of IT logistics processes, including purchase order acknowledgment, order fulfillment, diagnostics and testing, system configuration and imaging, as well as physical and virtual inventory management.

Your expertise will ensure that our IT inventory aligns with the strategic goals and operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities:Demand Planning: Forecast future inventory requirements based on historical data, market trends, and collaboration with cross-functional global teams.

Sourcing: Identify and evaluate potential suppliers for global IT assets and negotiate contracts to secure the best terms and prices.

Purchasing and PO Acknowledgement: Manage the procurement process from requisition to receipt. Confirm and process purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

Inventory Analytics: Analyze inventory levels, turnover rates, and obsolescence to optimize stock levels and reduce carrying costs across global locations.

Stockroom and Cycle Count Management: Ensure efficient storage and handling of IT assets and conduct regular cycle counts for accurate physical and virtual inventory management.

Asset tagging and tracking: Enforce procedures to ensure assets are properly identified, recorded, and accounted for.

Audit and Compliance: Conduct regular audits of IT assets to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations for worldwide locations.

Diagnostics and Testing: Perform comprehensive diagnostics and testing on IT equipment to ensure optimal functionality.

Reporting: Develop and maintain accurate reports on inventory status, discrepancies, and valuation for global stakeholders.

Equipment Return and Recovery: Manage the return process for IT equipment, including inspection and processing. Implement procedures for recovering assets that are no longer in active use. Act as a steward of recovered IT equipment and maximize investment for stakeholders.

Asset Secure Reclamation: Ensure secure and compliant reclamation of IT assets, including data sanitization and environmentally responsible disposal in multiple geographic regions.

Vendor Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, monitor their performance, and manage disputes or issues.

Collaborate with IT service management teams to align asset management activities with incident, problem, and change management processes.

Continuously monitor industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to IT asset management and recommend process improvements.

Create and maintain product catalog items and report and analytic dashboards within the current ITAM platform.

Essential Skills and Experience:

Minimum 3 years' experience working in enterprise IT asset management systems.

Previous experience adhering to aggressive service levels for IT asset inventory control.

Strong knowledge of IT procurement, sourcing, and vendor management best practices.

Ability to diagnose and test a variety of IT assets including laptops, mobile devices, monitors, and accessories.

Previous experience managing IT assets across multiple geographic locations.

Previous experience developing operational analytics using PowerBI or other reporting tools.

Ability to identify and resolve inventory discrepancies, manage challenges with equipment returns, and recommend process improvements.

Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with various teams (IT service management, finance, facilities, etc.) and stakeholders.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.managing physical and virtual IT inventory, including stock levels, cycle counts, and asset tagging.

Inventory Analytics: Strong analytical skills to analyze inventory data, identify trends, and optimize stock levels for cost reduction.

Compliance & Audit: Experience in conducting IT asset audits to ensure adherence to internal policies and external regulations (global considerations).

Physical Demand & Work Environment:

Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds or more of equipment safely, multiple times per day

Must have the ability to perform office-related tasks which may include prolonged sitting or standing

Must have the ability to move from place to place within an office environment

Some positions may require occasional repetitive motion or movements of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers

Salary Range$88,800.00 - $111,000.00 USD (Salary)
