Position SummaryThe University of New Mexico's Office of Compliance,Ethics, and Equal Opportunity (CEEO) seeks a Compliance Assistant to performinitial actions under the CEEO Grievance Procedure. Areas include EqualEmployment Opportunity (EEO), Affirmative Action, Title IX, Title VII, the Americanswith Disabilities Act, and various other compliance matters. Are you interestedin joining a results-oriented team of professionals working on challenging,interesting, fast-paced casework? The selected candidate must possess strong communicationskills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituenciesin a diverse community. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, teamplayer, and must be able to multi-task and handle confidential material in aprofessional manner. CEEO is an internal compliance office that provides servicesto students, staff and faculty. Conditions of EmploymentEmployees who provide services or work in patient care or clinical areas are required to be in compliance with the University's influenza vaccination requirement.Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED; at least 4 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience investigating or supporting investigationsof concerns related to discrimination, failure to accommodate, Title IX, sexualharassment or sexual assault.Ability to handle multiple tasks with timesensitive deadlines with minimal supervision.Legal knowledge including paralegal or JD coursework.Bilingual (English/Spanish)
