Terrific Security Director position with a social services nonprofit in the New York City area. The Security Director will be responsible for ensuring the security department operates at a high level across the organization's shelters and program centers. Responsibilities of the Director will include recruitment, training, staff scheduling, compliance, policy creation and enforcement, as well as serve a liaison to NYPD. This position will be essential in ensuring a culture that promotes a safe environment while respecting the dignity of all clients. Candidates should have approximately 15+ years of related security and, or law enforcement experience plus time in a supervisory role. Bachelor's degree required. This position is located in the New York City area. The salary for this position is $130,000 to $150,000 per year, with potential flexibility based on experience.
Responsibilities:Oversee security staff for the organization's shelters and program centers\Manage staffing, recruitment, and hiring processes for security staffSelect and manage subcontracted security staffEnsure that staff are up to date on licensures and receive proper trainingReview incident reports and provide investigative supportOversee security personnel schedulingEnforce regulatory policies and proceduresManage one direct report as well as subcontractorsQualifications:
Approximately 15+ years of relevant security and, or law enforcement experience plus time in a supervisory roleBachelor's degree requiredNew York State Security Guard CertificationValid driver's license requiredAbility to be on call and work a flexible scheduleExcellent communication skills
