Our client is looking for a
Regional Controller
to ensure accounting records and processes adhere to GAAP standards, support SOX compliance and uphold all company accounting policies. As a key partner to the Plant Manager, this position provides essential cost analysis and KPI reporting to guide daily operations and strategic planning for the facility.
Regional Controller Responsibilities:
Oversee accounting operations for the Georgia Region, including the review and improvement of plant accounting proceduresLead and manage the local Accounting team, ensuring their work aligns with company standardsPerform monthly reconciliations of all asset and liability accounts to maintain accurate financial recordsFacilitate the resolution of both internal and external audit inquiriesReview, update and enforce SOX compliance procedures, ensuring strong internal controls are in place and consistently followedOversee the monthly close process, meeting deadlines and ensuring accurate financial representation for the plantPrepare, review and distribute required financial reports for company-wide reviewOversee completion and approval of all location-based tax returnsManage capital expenditure records, prepare monthly reports and close projects in compliance with GAAP, as coordinated with Corporate Accounting
Regional Controller
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field required5+ years of comprehensive accounting experience, including 3+ years in a supervisory role. Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferredStrong organizational, verbal and written communication skillsSolid understanding of internal controls, with proven analytical and investigative abilitiesProficiency in accounting and inventory control, budgeting, Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems. Experience with JD Edwards is preferred
