Assist in the accounting function of manufacturing control, reporting, and analysis. The Staff Accountant will work on period close functions such as reconciliation of inventory accounts, journal entries, analysis, month end reports and schedule preparation. Maintains and assures the accuracy of accounting records. Other miscellaneous Accounting duties as well.

Essential Functions

Prepares monthly schedules of manufacturing costsSupports monthly close processMaintains and assures the accuracy of the raw materials and work in process costPrepares journal entries for the transfer of costs to work in processMaintains and assures the accuracy of the finished goods inventoryMaintains and assures the accuracy of freight in costs for purchased inventoryAssists in entering of journal entriesAssists in analysis of inventory reservesAssists external auditors in the preparation of audit schedulesPrepares budgeting reports for the manufacturing divisionPerforms various general ledger account reconciliations and analysisPerforms other related duties as assigned.Non-Essential Functions

Assists in special accounting projects, as needed.Reporting Relationship

Accounting ManagerPay rate: $24-26/HR

Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am-5:00pm.

Knowledge

Bachelor's Degree in AccountingMinimum 1-3 years of Accounting experience with an emphasis in Cost Accounting preferredSkills

10-key by touchStrong Excel skillsExcellent communications skills (verbal and written)Detail orientedExperience with SAP highly desirableAbility to work independently and in a teamwork settingTravel
