Aviation Procurement Specialist

Reporting to the Maintenance Operations Director, this role will function as the Procurement Specialist for the Spokane campus providing excellent customer service and manage supply chain, inventory records, supplier communication and relationships, parts orders, receivables, and over the counter sales.

Essential Functions

Procure materials and coordinate activities involved with purchasing equipment, tools, parts, and supplies.Manage requests and create purchase orders for materials and supplies.Efficiently research, procure and compare quotes and select most appropriate supply options.Expedite orders and requests as needed to minimize aircraft on ground time balanced with proper pre-planning in cooperation with the shop to have appropriate parts on hand prior to work being performed.Receive, manage aircraft parts inspection process and inventory parts.Oversee inventory sign out process and records.Manage inventory count on a monthly basis to meet annual requirements.Establish, implement, maintain, and enforce stockroom procedures.Record management throughout the supply chain process providing accurate and timely month end closing documentation to the aviation bookkeeper and meet FAA aircraft parts tracking requirements.Manage and track vendor invoices and provide clear communication to aviation bookkeeper to assure prompt payment.Manage shipping and freight needs.Provide on-the-job training and supervision to student workers and staff in the stock room.Perform other duties as assigned.Minimum Requirements

High School DiplomaStrong verbal and written communication skillsStrong organization skills and attention to detailMath, accounting, and mechanical aptitudesStrong competency and experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and PC operating systemsAvailable to be work most weekdays to coordinate with production shop on AOG ordersAuthorized to work in the US legally without sponsorship.Preferred Qualifications

Five years of inventory management experienceMaterials management experience including purchasing and supplier relationsBachelor's DegreeExperience with Total FBO software, Quicken or other inventory management softwareFAA Airframe & Powerplant Certification

This job operates in both an office and aircraft maintenance shop environment.This role routinely uses standard office and occasionally specialized aircraft and shop equipment and tools.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear, sit and type. This position will frequently stand, walk, use hands and fingers to handle, finger or feel and reach with hands and arms.This position is occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

This position is not expected to travel.
