DESCRIPTION OF POSITION:
The Maintenance Planner will develop and oversee preventive maintenance and TPM schedules. The focus of the position will be to coordinate PM, APM and TPM activities, resources and materials, by proactively communicating with production schedulers concerning maintenance activities that impact production line availability and working with the Crew Leaders & Team Manager's to coordinate and update schedule changes and resource availability. This position will accurately estimate jobs, define material requirements and update job plans as needed based on feedback from team members
The position will manage the CMMS database to ensure work orders are documented, executed upon and closed with the correct data entered into the system. Additionally, the Maintenance Planner will ensure support for equipment related improvement schedules to include PM's, APM's, AM & FI schedules. Other duties include creating a job planning package for all non-emergency planned work orders, submitting orders, verifying receipts of all requested parts for planned activities, assembling parts kits for Utility Mechanics, managing and prioritizing an accurate work order backlog and tracking costs for all planned work. This position will use technical knowledge of existing equipment to plan the work required to meet equipment reliability & process reliability goals.
Other responsibilities include communicating the maintenance schedules, generating reports, measuring PM schedule compliance and other key performance metrics, as well as participating in meetings impacting maintenance planning; procedure development and documentation. The Planner is responsible for participating and leading Job Safety Risk Analysis and documenting all major repairs with recommendations for proper safety tools, devices, and work methods included in the planning of work. This position will require flexibility with shift and work day assignments to support business need requirements. (For example, one potential work schedule might be Tuesday - Saturday.)
