Data Center Customer Operations TechnicianJob SummaryData Centers are considered Critical Facilities. This means that we support hospitals, laboratories, public safety centers. Simply put - We cannot go dark. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for fixing and installing sophisticated circuits and performing custom installations as well as designing and leading modification projects.ResponsibilitiesRacks and stacks customer equipmentReads installation plans (Visio Drawings / Spreadsheets) and implements installation accordinglyInstalls circuits requiring advanced fiber terminationsYou prioritize work from the Oracle queue and ensures alignment to all commit timesTroubleshoots switched / multiplexed / media converted circuits; raises to, and works with networking group, as needed.Works with customers to solve issuesInstalls/tests/modifies cross connects per SOPs and ensures proper cable management of: coax, fiber, twisted pair copper, and intra-building cross connectsInstalls and tests advanced cross connects circuits (switched, multiplexed, etc.)Maintains detailed written records of all work activityDesigns and leads cage / infrastructure modification projectsFinishes the assigned training in a timely mannerSupports customer happiness through timely and precise order executionQualifications4+ years of related Data Center experienceDemonstrable troubleshooting skillsHigh School Diploma or equivalentAble to perform all essential job functions, including walking, standing, bending, stooping, climbing, lifting and manual dexterity, with or without reasonable accommodationAble to lift heavy equipment/items up to 50 poundsAble to work days/nights/weekends/holidays, if needed and/or requiredThe United States targeted pay range for this position in the following location is / locations are:California (Non-SF/Bay Area), Connecticut, Maryland, New York, New Jersey, Washington state: $63,000 to $98,000 per yearOur pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire pay for the full-time position determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is based on additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training.This position may be offered in other locations. Your recruiter can share more about the specific pay range for your preferred location during the hiring process.The targeted pay range listed reflects the base pay only and does not include bonus, equity, or benefits.
