Description
JOB STATEMENT:
Purchasing Coordinator will work closely with the department Supervisors and Manager to coordinate their purchases, requests, and needs within a specified time frame. Will investigate research, negotiate, present, recommend, and procure for the organization. Required to learn the facts about the products and services that we purchase to ensure the proper purchasing decisions are being made for the organization. Deal with outside suppliers to ensure quality of products and services provided. Ensure that adequate inventory management processes are in place and adequate inventory levels are kept. Will generate monthly PMs in CMMS software and issue to Supervision.
Essential Duties:Understand and comply with all ISO 9001, HACCP and GMP requirements and processesMust be able to operate a Forklift and Man-LiftWork effectively and remain calm in all situations.Able to work any shift and rotate between facilities as directed by ManagementMust be able to work in awkward positions (kneeling, lying down or squatting).Must maintain inventory records.Must have basic computer and IFS knowledge.Tag all incoming parts with proper ID numbersReceive and check in all parts, supplies and materialDeliver all parts, supplies, and materials to proper location or persons.PM/Repair ordered Parts kittingFill out Parts Requisition form and obtain authorization before ordering of parts.Work with AP on all received or back orders weeklyWill travel to different vendor's locations to pick up parts if neededPerform any other duties as assigned by Manager.Identify and analyze repeated orders by tracking purchase histories on a monthly basis.Set up and prepare new incoming vendors for future supply needsSchedule and arrange service with outside vendors for facilities and machineryGenerate all monthly PM's and assign accordingly to maintenance mechanics monthlyReport all PM's into CMMS-Emaintenance and review for any repair or maintenance adjustmentsOperate the CMMS - Emaintenance system for tracking of all outstanding PM's and generating new repair WO's submitted in the system to department manager for issuance.Attend and assist in all Safety meetings and Purchasing meetings as required by department managerRead and understand equipment manualsWork with outside vendors and equipment suppliers to keep proper inventoriesAll functions are defined in the Purchasing SOP manual and are to be performed as specified unless approved by a supervisorContacting vendors to obtain prices, schedule delivery dates and expedite ordersResearch and negotiate favorable pricing terms with vendorsManages Maintenance purchasing procedures, generates requisitions, and verifies proper signing authorizations before purchase orders are available and releasedFacility purchasing of Maintenance supplies, contacting suppliers to determine product price and availabilityCompletes inventory RMA's for credit and/or rework both physically and in IFS SystemCopy and forward invoices to the Accounts Payable departmentPrepare, process, and distribute monthly inventory reportsAnalyze and compare invoices to purchase ordersOrganize, update, and maintain filing systemReceive and verify packing slips from PartsPerform any other reasonable duties as assignedQualifications

Proficient in Microsoft Office (PC), including Word and ExcelExcellent communication skills, oral and writtenGood customer service skillsResourceful, detail-oriented, with good organizational skillsA proven multi-tasking team player, as well as an independent workerKnowledge of:
