What you will do as an Area Sales Manager at GLS?
As an Area Sales Manager at GLS, you will work to expand the company's market share by signing new dealers, developing existing relationships, and increasing awareness and adoption of the company's lending program(s). This role will work remotely in the designated market and will report to a Regional Sales Manager.
How will you drive value within the organization as an Area Sales Manager?Educate dealers on all aspects of the company lending program(s) and how to maximize the value of the program(s) for their individual dealershipPartner with other operational teams to capture quality business from existing dealers and increase utilization of the program(s)Build and expand the assigned territory by identifying and signing new dealershipsMake regular dealer visits, cold calls, and take inbound calls from dealerships to build relationships and capture businessMaintain high-quality customer satisfaction and retention of dealersComplete and submit documentation to track and assess established goalsFoster a collaborative culture that facilitates the achievement of business plan objectives by working closely with other associates and members of managementParticipate in special projects as neededPerform additional assignments as required by the needs of the company or as directed by managementWhat should you already know to be successful as an Area Sales Manager?
Three (3) years' experience in auto finance with sub-prime auto financing experience preferredThree (3) years' experience in sales with auto industry experience preferredKnowledge of the local market with established customer relationships preferredIntrinsically motivated with demonstrated ability to take initiative, identify needs, make recommendations for improvement, see recommendations through implementation, and evaluate improvements for effectivenessExceptional interpersonal skills: friendly and tactful with the ability to influence others, effectively manage conflict, exercise sound judgment, effectively manage highly sensitive and confidential information, interact at all levels within the organization, and build cross-functional partnerships across the businessExceptional oral and written communication skillsTeam player that can adapt in a fast pace and changing environmentProficient computer skills with working knowledge of internet and standard business applications such as Microsoft Office; ability to quickly learn new computer applications as requiredCommitment to exemplifying the organizational core values and key competenciesExcellent organizational skills with high attention to detail and demonstrated ability to effectively set and manage multiple conflicting prioritiesWork Requirements:
Must possess a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving recordTalk and hear to exchange accurate informationHave close visual acuity to perform activities such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; viewing a computer terminal; extensive readingMust have the ability to operate from a home officeThis position does require extensive travel both in a vehicle and by air; travel is to be expected 75% of the time, with overnight travel and extended hours
