BlueHalo is growing, and we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Controller to join our dynamic team at BlueHalo. The successful candidate will play a critical role in managing and optimizing revenue processes, managing the accounting close, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and supporting the Controller and Chief Accounting Officer in achieving financial goals.
Responsibilities
Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.Oversee the general ledger and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data.Manage the accounting team and provide guidance and support to staff members.Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.Coordinate audits and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.Collaborate with other departments to support business objectives and decision-making.Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.CPA or equivalent certification preferred.Minimum of 10 years of experience in accounting, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.Desired Skills
Strong technical accounting skills, including knowledge of GAAP.Experience in the aerospace and defense industry and government contracting and compliance requirements is preferred.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Strong project management skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Knowledge of cost accounting principles and practices.Familiarity with Unanet is preferred.
