Overview:
As the NMP Policy Subject Matter Expert (SME) working for Hepburn and Sons LLC, you will assist the Navy Modernization, Planning and Sustainability Division, Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA), which is responsible for providing the Fleet and modernization stakeholders with modernization policies; Ship Change Document (SCD) processes and approvals; Navy Data Environment (NDE) and user-training; Fleet Risk Assessments; Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Combat Systems, and Intelligence (C5I) Baselines; Information Technology (IT) business tools; metrics performance; and customized reports. The team will support all areas of NAVSEA Modernization Support the updates and adherence to the Navy Modernization Program Modernization and Operations Manual (NMP-MOM).This is a contingent position based on award/funding from the customer.Working at Hepburn and Sons LLCWorking at Hepburn means applying a passion for meaningful work with intellectual rigor to help solve the leading issues of today. We believe in collaboration, mutual respect, open communication, and opportunity for growth.Responsibilities:Assist the customer in updating and maintaining documents used extensively in the NMP, including the NMP-Modernization Operations Manual (MOM)Assist in the development of briefs on policy changes for high level Leadership and Flag briefingsSchedule, discuss and provide recommendations with modernization stakeholders to determine actionable deficiencies, antiquated policies, execution-related work stoppages and issues, and NMP violations IAW the NMP-MOMCoordinate and facilitate modernization policy discussionsResearch, draft and present subject matter via flag level briefs, white papers, or related documentsContractor shall provide SME functional support to address and solve stakeholder issues and trouble tickets related to various NMP-MOM policies, business rules, website navigation, and NDE implementation, including the RMMCO process and navigationQualifications:
Bachelor degree in engineering, business, computer science or equivalent (preferred)10 or more years experience with NMP-MOMExpertise in Navy modernization process10 or more years of experience with MS suite; specifically MS Word, Excel and PowerPointExperience with life cycle maintenance processes and proceduresSubject matter expert in Navy Modernization policies, specifically the MOMAbility to communicate with senior leadership and translate vision into actionable requirementsActive Secret clearance
