Description
Position Summary:
The IT Support Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our business and IT infrastructure. This involves providing technical support to staff, maintaining IT equipment, assisting with equipment deployments, and contributing to department projects. The ideal candidate is a problem-solver with excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to customer service.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Provide timely and effective technical support to staff via helpdesk software, phone, and remote access tools.Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues on various devices (computers, laptops, printers, mobile devices).Install, configure, and maintain IT infrastructure components, including workstations, servers, network devices, and peripherals.Assist with IT projects, such as equipment upgrades, software deployments, and network enhancements.Manage user accounts and access permissions.Deploy and recover user equipment (computers, phones, peripherals).Configure and deploy desk phones, cell phones, and tablets.Participate in maintenance windows to install updates and perform disaster recovery testing.Maintain accurate documentation of IT processes and procedures.Stay current with emerging technologies and IT best practices.Qualification Requirements:
Education/Experience:
1+years of experience in an IT support role.Relevant degrees, certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+) and demonstrable home lab experience are a plusTechnical Skills:
Working knowledge of Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Meraki, Teams, and OneTalk.Familiarity with Windows 10/11, Server 2012 R2 - 2022, ESXi, and Apple iOS.Experience with servers, desktops/laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
Physical Demands:
This position requires the ability to sit and type for extended periods, with frequent talking, hearing, and seeing
