CNC Machinist/ProgrammerLocation:Job Description:Torch Technologies is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist/Programmer with expertise in machining intricate hardware from diverse materials. This role involves collaborating with engineers and manufacturing staff to create precision parts for various applications. The ideal candidate should possess strong programming, setup, and operational experience on multiple machine types, including 5-axis CNC Mills and CNC Mill-turns.Responsibilities:Interpret engineering drawings and CAD models to produce unique, high-precision parts.Program, set up, and operate 5-axis CNC Mills, CNC Mill-turns, and other manual machinery.Plan and execute machining tasks independently, following quality and efficiency standards.Collaborate with a cross-functional team in a dynamic environment to meet production goals.Job Requirements:Associate degree or 2 years of formal technical training, with a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Proficiency in reading mechanical drawings and technical instructions.Availability for 1st shift (4-10’s), working from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with overtime as needed.Minimum 5 years of experience programming with CAM software.Ability to process part plans, program, set up, and operate CNC equipment independently.Familiarity with AS9100 quality processes.Ability to obtain/maintain a DoD Secret Security clearance.Preferred Qualifications:Experience programming, setting up, and operating DMG Mori Mill Turn centers.Hands-on experience with Haas and Mazak CNC Mills.Proficiency in Mastercam programming.Background in a prototyping or low-volume production environment.Workplace safety is a priority at Torch. Candidates must receive and present an OSHA 10-Hour Training Course for General Industry certification within the first 90 days of employment.
