ECS is seeking a Network Engineer (Senior) to work in our Morgantown, WV office. Please Note: This position is contingent upon contract award.Job Description:ECS is seeking a qualified Network Engineer (Senior) to support transformative science and technology solutions for the Department of Energy.Responsibilities include:Install, configure, maintain, update, and refine networksImplement, manage, and monitor Cisco ASA firewallsTroubleshoot and resolve network issues and outagesDocument networking configurations, diagrams, and rack layouts.Evaluate network performance and make appropriate recommendationsExamine network vulnerabilities and determine actions to mitigate themProvide off-hours support as needed for system upgrades, patches, and maintenance activitiesRecommend, schedule, and/or implement repairs within the network environmentSchedule and perform backups on all network componentsEnsure network components maintain compliance with NIST security requirementsDevelop network documentation such as diagrams and standard operating procedures (SOPs)Provide network and system administration support to the CODIS Helpdesk; ability to perform analysis of CODIS applications and lab operational environmentsDeploy and install the CODIS software and upgrades to the latest software baselineSupport labs with other CODIS-related software and processes to include Trellix ePO, MS WSUS, backup configurations, etc.Support other system administration / engineering tasks as neededRequired Skills:Master's Degree in networking, computer science, or a related field AND four years of related work experience AND one or more mid-level network certifications (e.g., CCNP, JNCIP, JNCIS, PCNSA etc.)ORBachelor's Degree in networking, computer science, or a related field AND six years of related work experience AND one or more mid-level network certifications (e.g., CCNP, JNCIP, JNCIS, PCNSA etc.)ORTen years of related work experience AND one or more mid-level network certifications (e.g., CCNP, JNCIP, JNCIS, PCNSA etc.)Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Top Secret or DOE Q clearance throughout the life of the contractMust be a US CitizenMust currently live in Morgantown, WV or willing to relocateAbility to work independently and as part of a teamDesired Skills:Active Top Secret or DOE Q Clearance with the ability to maintain clearance throughout the life of the contract.Two or more years experience supporting US Government customersProject Management Professional certificationExperience supporting complex government and programs of a research and development natureECS is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate or allow discrimination on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, age, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, ancestry, citizenship, genetic information, registered domestic partner status, marital status, status as a crime victim, disability, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
