The Procurement Director will direct the procurement strategy and operations for Waystar, focusing on optimizing supplier relationships, managing costs, and ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality goods and services. This role will be critical in supporting our technology initiatives and enhancing our competitive advantage through effective sourcing and procurement practices.WHAT YOU'LL DODevelop and implement a comprehensive procurement strategy aligned with company goals.Analyze market trends and supplier capabilities to identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, negotiating contracts that ensure favorable terms and compliance with industry standards.Evaluate supplier performance regularly and implement corrective actions as necessary.Identify cost-saving initiatives and implement best practices in procurement processes.Work closely with operational leaders to understand their procurement needs and develop tailored solutions.Collaborate with the legal and accounting teams to ensure procurement practices adhere to relevant regulations.Utilize data analytics to inform procurement decisions and provide insights into spending patterns and supplier performance.Prepare regular reports for executive leadership on procurement activities, savings, and risk management.WHAT YOU'LL NEEDBachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field.
