Under the general direction of the WRP Facilities Operations Manager, the Facilities Coordinator provides facilities operational support and implements and coordinates building management procedures and space planning activities.APPOINTMENT INFORMATIONBudgeted Salary:

UC Santa Cruz Main CampusJOB DUTIES75% - Facilities ManagementServes as liaison with organization and external agencies regarding safety, access, maintenance, remodeling, and construction activities.Coordinates with multiple units throughout the organization to provide a safe and secure facilities environment.Maintains building-related plans and procedures including access controls and security, emergency preparedness, and fire safety inspection compliance.First point of contact on the Westside Research Park (WRP) emergency call-out list.15% - SupervisionSupervises building receptionist and student employees.10% - Emergency PreparednessActs as the Building Coordinator for organization emergency/disaster preparedness.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training.Thorough knowledge in building space planning, codes, capacity, security, and fire safety.Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.Effective problem-solving and communication skills.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSExperience with supervising others.Working knowledge of safety and emergency preparedness.SPECIAL CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENTSelected candidate will be required to pass a pre-employment criminal history background check.Must possess a valid license to drive in California.SAFETY STATEMENTAll UCSC employees must understand and follow job safety procedures, attend required health and safety training, and promptly report actual and potential accidents and injuries.EEO/AAThe University of California is an Equal Employment Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
