Non-RepresentedJOB DUTIES50% - Advising & Oversight for Student OrganizationsProvides ongoing transformational advising and development to student leaders participating in student organizations on a wide range of issues.Advises student leaders on complex and sensitive issues.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.Thorough knowledge of advising and counseling techniques.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSKnowledge of policies and procedures relating to the use of University funds and facilities, student organizations and event presentation.SPECIAL CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENTSelected candidate will be required to pass a pre-employment criminal history background check.SAFETY STATEMENTAll UCSC employees must understand and follow job safety procedures, attend required health and safety training, proactively promote safety at work, and promptly report actual and potential accidents and injuries.EEO/AAThe University of California is an Equal Employment Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
