This dynamic team focuses on the meticulous planning, coordination, and execution of activities that bring projects to completion, ensuring alignment with regulatory standards, optimizing technical designs, and managing stakeholder communications. Their responsibilities include conducting detailed analyses, overseeing construction processes, and troubleshooting any emerging issues to ensure that each project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. With a commitment to innovation and sustainability, the Late Stage Development Team plays a crucial role in harnessing North Dakota’s vast renewable energy potential and contributing to NextEra Energy’s mission of leading the nation's clean energy transformation.Job Overview
Employees in this role develop and execute plans for new or enhanced generation projects. This job is responsible for resource allocation, schedules, cost and technical adequacy, ensuring the project or transaction is completed in the most cost effective and competitive manner. This position manages all aspects of the business deal and ensures the project is completed on time and within budgetary constraints.Job Duties & Responsibilities
Manages all aspects of the day to day transaction process to ensure timely completion as well as a cost effective and competitive resultsLeads and coordinates key functions such as financial feasibility analyses, engineering/design, project legal review, permitting activities and financial negotiationsCoordinates due diligence activities with other internal groups to ensure proper analysis and structuring of assigned projectsActs as liaison between internal and external specialists regarding procurement, contracting, permitting and interconnectionConstructs contractual arrangements for project developmentNegotiates agreements with consultants and subcontractorsEnsures compliance with applicable technical and regulatory requirementsFosters external relationships with customers, third parties and members of the communityIdentifies opportunities and negotiates power sales contractsPerforms other job-related duties as assignedRequired Qualifications
High School Grad /GEDBachelor's or Equivalent ExperienceExperience: 7+ yearsPreferred Qualifications
