General ResponsibilitiesPathways Completion Specialists in the Office of Completion Services implement the college's strategic plans related to academic standing and student completion. They may be assigned to an academic division, department, or specific program to provide content-specific support for MSDE Career and Technical Education (CTE) career clusters.
Work PerformedPathway Completion Specialists are embedded within academic pathways and courses to support academic success. They monitor Early Alerts for assigned courses, work with students in academic jeopardy, refer students to appropriate support services, and provide knowledge about academic success skills.
Minimum Education RequiredBachelor's degree
Minimum Number of Years Experience RequiredNot specified
Other Knowledge Required
Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree preferred, preferably in higher education, student affairs, counseling, social work, or an academic discipline directly related to an MSDE Career and Technical Education career cluster.
Experience working in advising, retention, or counseling within a college setting; community college experience preferred.
Knowledge of current student success strategies.
Experience working with diverse populations.
Ability to prepare, compile, write and review reports.
Excellent computer skills.
