Job Description & Responsibilities:
Persistent Systems is seeking a Vice President of Business Capture, SOCOM to join our team. The Vice President of Business Capture, SOCOM will be responsible for the seamless execution of all capture campaigns within our SOCOM vertical. This includes developing value positions, content delivery, and revenue execution management. This individual will develop and execute capture strategies, campaigns, and reporting to the senior leaders within the sales team. This individual will align sales, contracts, business development, and program teams to ensure our offerings are priced to win.
Position Responsibilities
Develop and execute capture strategy, campaigns, and strategic direction and execution of all aspects in our SOCOM vertical
Direct the preparation, approval, and execution of the capture plan, schedule, win strategy, and budget associated with business opportunities
Influence and collaborate with internal and external team members to identify new business opportunities and produce winning solutions to enable acquisition of new business
Strategic capture campaign identification, management, and execution in line with business development partners
Develop bid and proposal activities and maintain on-going interaction with marketing and government entities
Daily operations of a capture team or capture work unit (direct supervision of the staff, assignment of work, schedules, day to day workflow, and operating costs)
Develop cost, schedule, and performance of a specific capture activity within all assigned capture and proposal activities
Review capture items for adequacy in meeting business development and capture pipeline objectives
Report the status and management of the capture, proposal, and sales teams, and serve as the head of capture activities to active program teams to ensure Persistent Systems’ capabilities are developed in accordance with the company’s greater business development strategy
Job Qualifications & Experience:
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in business administration, contract management, or a similar field or equivalent experience
At least 10 years of capture experience with commercial and/or government customers related to DoD contract acquisition
Diplomatic, persuasive and articulate communication style to establish and maintain rapport with internal and external senior executives
Experience in a senior-level capture role working with customers in the defense industry with ability to support C-Suite level conversations and presentations
Demonstrated experience building winning Bid and Proposal strategies
Working knowledge of applicable regulations, including, but not necessarily limited to: Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), etc.
5 years of experience developing and executing a proposal process within the DoD space
Must have a United States Department of Defense Secret level clearance or be able to obtain one
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in business or a related field
DAWIA certifications from DAU
Strong understanding of acquisition/procurement process within DoD
15+ years of experience in Business Development/Capture with a demonstrated track record of revenue growth
Compensation:
The total compensation for this role can vary from $200,000 to $240,000 a year based on individual qualifications. Eligible for sales incentive compensation plan.
