We are looking to add Transportation Planners at all experience levels who will help foster our mission that All People Should Live in Safe, Sustainable and Beautiful Communities and who can demonstrate professionalism and who are curious, self-motivated candidates capable of leading and supporting multiple planning projects.
What You Will Be Doing:
In this transportation planning role you will be part of a fast-paced environment, supporting or leading project teams/tasks for services related to transportation planning, bicycle/pedestrian planning, securing competitive funding for projects, land use analysis and impacts, research, analysis and impacts; and environmental documents. Depending on level of experience, this role is expected to have knowledge of or be highly experienced in the following:
Transportation planning methods and application at the local and regional levelMultimodal, active transportation and bicycle-pedestrian planning methods and design standards for application in urban and rural areasAgency and stakeholder involvement techniques and processesResearching methods and statistical principles related to urban/rural growth and developmentMethods and techniques of effective technical report preparation and presentationsAbility to work well within a team atmospherePublic engagement with transportation projectsPolicy research and persuasive writing skills environmental review and documentation
What We Are Looking For:
Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Urban and Regional Studies; Urban Planning; Geography; Public Administration or other applicable discipline from an accredited collegeAICP certification is desired but not a requirement.Possess a valid driver's license as travel to various facilities and job sites may be required.
