We are looking for interns to join our team in our Minneapolis, Eden Prairie, or Plymouth locations. What You Will Be Doing:As a Planning and/or Project Funding Intern, you will be part of a fast-paced environment, supporting project teams for services related to transportation planning, bicycle/pedestrian planning, securing competitive funding for projects, land use analysis and impacts, research, analysis and impacts; and environmental documents.You will gain experience in the following areas:Transportation planning methods and application at the local and regional level, multimodal, active transportation and bicycle-pedestrian planning methods and design standards for application in urban and rural areas, corridor and small area plans.Researching methods and statistical principles related to urban/rural growth and development.Methods and techniques of effective technical report preparation and presentations.Policy research and persuasive writing skills.Agency and stakeholder involvement techniques and processes.Project communications and public engagement methods and facilitation.What We Are Looking for:Degree Programs: Selected candidates will be enrolled in a Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in urban planning, public policy, geography, public administration or other closely related field from an accredited college.Minimum Cumulative GPA: 2.8 GPA; Desired GPA 3.2 or above.Students must possess a valid driver's license and their own transportation or have the ability to use public transportation. You will be reimbursed for business-related travel.Each year we look for a variety of experience, education, and ability for our student intern pool.
