In this prominent, client-centric position, you will be instrumental in driving our global market expansion and ensuring the satisfaction of our customers. Your primary focus will be identifying opportunities and devising strategies to secure contracts with companies in our west region that are seeking freight forwarding solutions. You will be reporting directly to the Director of Sea Freight Business Development, with occasional global travel requirements.
Your Responsibilities
Collaborate with team members globally to develop business intelligence for sales opportunitiesBe a Subject Matter Expert for theTrans-Atlantic Northern Europe trade lane for external customers and internal partnersWork with Operations and Customer Solutions to ensure new customer onboarding runs smoothlyIdentify prospective target customers using the data in the customer relationship management system, and internal sales leadsDevelop client sales strategies with Kuehne+Nagel marketing materialsMeet sales goals, provide sales pipelines, and keep management up to date on market conditionsYour Skills and Experiences
3+ years of experience in supply chain/freight forwarding with trade lane experienceSea Logistics sales experienceExperience identifying and closing customers with current book of businessExperience working across multiple cultures and building relationships internationallyAvailability for travel 40% of the time.Must have German language proficiencyGood Reasons to Join

Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by a number of factors including experience, skills, job location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business.
