DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION6SE/Progressive Care is a 28-bed acute care med-surg unit that provides care for a diversity of medically complex patients as well as post-op orthopedics patients.
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIESCollaborate with the Nurse Manager to develop and implement unit policies and procedures.Provide leadership and mentorship to nursing staff, ensuring adherence to best practices and standards.Monitor patient outcomes and participate in quality improvement initiatives.Coordinate patient care, including admissions, discharges, and transfers.Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.Address patient and family concerns and provide excellent customer service.Provide direct patient care.Foster a positive work environment and promote staff development.
REQUIREMENTSFor current UWMC RNs only.At least 2 years of current/recent acute care med-surg nursing experience.Demonstrated leadership and/or charge nurse experience.Current license to practice as a registered nurse in the State of Washington by start date.
