About the Role:

The Senior Software Engineer on the Money Movement team works collaboratively with our engineers and business teams to build next generation features and enhancements to our API and money movement platforms, and helps our clients build innovative investing solutions at scale.

With DriveWealth at a growth inflection point, the opportunities of this role are two fold: our growing volumes translate to interesting technical challenges related to scale. With this, there is also an opportunity to gain deeper knowledge of the money movement side of finance.

What You'll Do:

Hands-on software development as you grow to understand how we handle various money flowsCollaborate with internal stakeholdersWork with the Money Movement team to architect and design new systemsMaintain and enhance existing systemsWork with vendor banking-as-a-service APIsDeeply understand real-world money movement workflows in the banking industry and automate manual operational processesWhat You'll Need:

At least 6-8 years of experience in backend software development using OOP/Functional principles and JavaExperience designing and integrating RESTful APIsExperience in a good number of the following: Spring Boot, OpenAPI, message queuing frameworks (AMQ, Kinesis, SQS, Kafka, etc.), distributed caching (we use Redis), DynamoDB (or similar), PostGres (or similar)Active development experience in a cloud based microservices environment (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure)Experience with compute/container platforms such as AWS EC2, K8s is highly preferredExperience with Git and Github, gitflow and git actionsA high bar for quality of code and work to eliminate unnecessary duplication and awkward workarounds.Passion for engineering practices and discipline: code reviews, automated testing, logging, monitoring, alerting, etc.Understanding of software systems architecture, understanding of design decisions and tradeoffs, collaborating design ideasExcellent communication, both verbal and writtenNice to Have, But Not Required:

CompensationCompensation package offerings are based on candidate experience and technical qualifications, as it relates to the role. These are identified and determined throughout your interviewing experience. Please note : this role is expected to come into our office on a cadence set by the Hiring Manager/Team.

$185,000-$200,000 USD
