Our Business Development Team is seeking an onsite or hybrid
International Project Manager.
This position is responsible for the execution of business development activities and programs, including cost, schedule, and performance. The project manager will support the International Business Development team with both new business activities and ensuring the execution of ongoing programs to completion.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
New Business:Work with the respective international account managers to develop positive ongoing relationships between TrellisWare and end customers in international markets by cultivating relationships with end users, partner companies, and other potential customers in support of identified TrellisWare international programs pursuits.Lead/engage with respective internal organizations (engineering, product management, operations, finance, contracts, legal, export compliance) to support the development of international bids and proposals from inception through program close out.Coordinate with the internal sales operations, contracts, and engineering teams to ensure that forecasted solutions (hardware, software, services) are kept up to date and in line with customer desires and expectations for delivery from TrellisWare.Work with account managers to ensure that the business forecast is current and accurately reflects the latest information regarding the respective international customers' expectations for TrellisWare deliverables.Support the overall International BD plan and successfully manage customer engagement activities, to include hosting customer groups at TrellisWare facilities, lead/conduct program management reviews at end customer facilities, and manage the oversight of in-country demonstrations/field trials as required to support the pursuit of identified key international programs pursuits.Engage with the marketing team to support the management and delivery of materials and messaging for events, activities, and trade shows as required.
Program Execution:Responsible for managing program cost, schedule, and performance requirements through the life-cycle phases of development, implementation, delivery, and sustainment.Coordinate the preparation and release of program plans, schedules, budgets, and estimates to complete. Review potential changes in contract scope and advise management and customer of the impact, identifying and working to mitigate program risk.Negotiate cost and schedule modifications, develop and write program plans, and assist and/or coordinate the preparation of cost and technical proposals in response to customer requirements and proposed changes.Coordinate and conduct design review activities and meetings, schedule internal meetings and customer presentations as required, and prepare and manage budget and expenses.Responsible for producing reports and presentations.Ensure customer satisfaction, set realistic customer expectations, and own and solve problems.Seek customer input and meet commitments.Maintain a high level of customer service by managing delivery, failures, RMA turnaround, and spares.
Education and Work Experience Requirements:Four-year technical or business degree, or military service/sales track record experience equivalent.At least five (5) years overall experience in the field and/or five (5) years related experience in radio communications/tactical communications market or related tangential technology segments.At least three (3) years of experience working with foreign military customers and end users.Experience with the security cooperation framework as well as an understanding of the role of the US National Defense Strategy is a plus.Must be proficient in Microsoft Office 365, Microsoft Project, and Adobe Acrobat.To be considered for this position, you would need to meet, at a minimum, the

A known track record of international business development success in those market segments is preferred.Ability to build long-term relationships with internal and external customers.Ability to support international marketing, sales, and business development pursuits to include drafting proposals and quotes.Proven ability to communicate and work well with various business disciplines as well as various ethnic cultures and backgrounds.Knowledge of export (ITAR, CCL, etc.) related technology control regimes preferred.Familiarity with military and commercial communication products is a significant plus.Familiarity with foreign government industrial compensation practices to include offsets preferred.Works independently, highly self-motivated, demonstrates initiative and interacts with a variety of engineering and product management development teams.Demonstrates documentation skills and is proficient with PC office applications.Ability to multitask and work with various time zones and find compromise with core work hours.Demonstrates analytical and problem-solving skills.Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication skills.Ability to speak one or more foreign languages is a significant plus.

TrellisWare Technologies pays competitively according to the market in an individual's geographic location, in addition to their qualifications and experience. The posted range is for individuals located in the San Diego, CA area. The pay range for this position is: $110-$140k, annually.
