The Daiso Store Manager will oversee the daily operations of your assigned store. The Store Manager will ensure the smooth running of store operations to maximize sales and minimize costs. An effective store manager will be able to motivate all store personnel to perform according to their maximum capability. The goal is to manage our store in ways that boost revenues and develop the business.Essential Functions:Develop business strategies to raise our customer’s pool, expand store traffic, increase basket size and optimize profitability.Meet sales goals by training, motivating, mentoring, and providing feedback to sales staff.Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent customer service.Complete store administration and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.Maintain outstanding store condition, plan and oversee in-store promotional events or displays.Uphold Daiso's standards for display presentation.Conduct personnel performance appraisals to assess training needs and build career paths.Deal with all issues that arise from staff or customers (complaints, grievances, etc).Manage the store inventory, including loss prevention through theft and breakage.Train new employees and provide ongoing education for employees.Effectively create store schedules to meet customer demand while meeting payroll targets.Create employee schedules, assign schedules and responsibilities to associates, checking to see if these assignments are carried through.Recruit, interview, hire, discipline, and offboard poor-performing staff.Requirements:High School Diploma/GED.1-3+ Years of Relevant Experience.Proven experience as a retail manager or in another managerial position.Knowledge of retail management best practices.Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.Excellent organizing and leadership skills.
