POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine is currently seeking a Program Manager to join our team of professionals.
Duties include:
Oversee the operations and strategic initiatives of Academic Community Programs and Partnerships. Manage pathway programs, collaborate on planning and evaluation, and focus on student success.
Develop outreach initiatives, market events, and foster community partnerships. Ensure logistical efficiency, compliance with FIU policies, and represent the office on committees.
Supervise staff, manage budgets, support instructional activities, oversee grants, and report on program outcomes.
Facilitate support services for Academic Community Programs and Partnerships, collaborating with leadership to develop individualized plans for pathway program participants.
Conduct quarterly meetings to review and advise on participants' study plans and contribute to the Academic Community Programs and Partnerships grant writing process.
Utilize the Canvas page to facilitate communication and information sharing with program participants.
Guide, supervise, and evaluate the work of staff within the office in day-to-day operations.
Assess goals and analyze administrative operations to determine potential enhancements and performance improvements.
Provide support with instruction/training, including training content development and evaluating quality and methods of dissemination.
Monitor accounts/expenditures, reconcile statements, and advise management on budgetary needs or discrepancies.
Perform other duties as assigned that are logically related to the position.
Work with and/or reside with minors and/or vulnerable persons within the role.
Manage existing pathway programs and collaborate with Deans in the overall planning, implementation, and evaluation of these programs.
Organize, promote, and maintain collaborative working relationships with key faculty, leadership, staff, and volunteers.
Manage all logistical matters related to Academic Community Programs and Partnerships programming, including planning, implementation, and evaluation of events and services.
Collect data using various methods to report on program progress and outcomes.
Develop and implement community outreach and educational initiatives to inspire and recruit college and pre-collegiate students.
Develop and implement procedures and practices to improve efficiency and ensure compliance with FIU policies and regulatory standards.
Collaborate with the Director of Media and Community Relations to market events and foster partnerships with community organizations.
Serve as a liaison between Academic Community Programs and Partnership pathway program participants and the Office of Student Affairs.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree and three (3) years of experience in office or related experience or Master's degree in an area generally related to grant content with two (2) years of experience in a related field.
