SeeScan is currently seeking a Mechanical Quality Inspector to join our team. In this position, you will be responsible for inspecting parts and assemblies to ensure that they meet quality standards. Our ideal candidate is a detail-oriented individual with a background in metrology and experience in mechanical inspection.This position pays $24 to $28/hour, depending on experience.Our company cultureWorking at SeeScan is unlike working for other companies of our size. Our goal is to create the best products in our industries – as a privately-owned company, we place excellence first, and we seek employees who will help us continue our trend of sustainable growth and innovation.In this position, you willPerform receiving inspection of metal parts, plastic parts, components as gaskets, o-rings, shields, and electronic assemblies which require verification of dimensions, diameters, flatness, etc.Perform and document inspections according to specification drawings and inspection criterion utilizing measuring equipment as calipers, gages, visual inspection equipment, etc.Perform and document First Article Inspections per procedures and complete all documentation.Clearly document non-conformances and improvement opportunities.Communicate with Engineering, Procurement and MRB to resolve quality issues.Participate in Quality and Production Improvements projects.Train other inspectors on the use of mechanical measurement tools as required.Perform other inspection activities as needed.About youAble to read and comprehend drawings, specifications, and procedures.Experienced with the use of mechanical measurement tools such as micrometers, gage pins, CMM, height and gages.Able to set up on surface plate to conform to GD&T specifications, measuring devices such as height gauges, depth gauges, Deltronic pin gauges, bore gauges, thread gauges, calipers, micrometers, universal protractor, index fixture, v-blocks, angle blocks, 1-2-3 blocks, sine plates, etc.Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.Ability to lift and move up to 25 lbs. preferred.Your background3+ years of experience in mechanical inspection or equivalent vocational training.We OfferA position within an established company that has over 40 years of experience.Medical, dental, and vision coverage.Traditional and Roth 401(k) investment options, with partial company matching contribution.Flexible Paid Time Off plan with no cap or “use it or lose it” requirement.In your application, please include your resume and a thoughtful cover letter explaining why you are the ideal candidate for this position.
