EHR Administrator Job DescriptionAs a member of the Performance Improvement team, the EHR administrator is responsible for the health and development of the company's electronic health record ecosystem, including client portals, e-prescribing, and other associated systems. The EHR administrator ensures the company’s electronic health record ecosystem meets the needs of programs as the source of truth for enrollment, treatment documentation, and outcomes. As the front line support for the company employees in how best to use the company’s electronic health records and associated systems, daily duties include troubleshooting user issues, running reports, supporting department power users, and training the employees in the best practices for these systems. The EHR administrator will participate in state and regional forums with representatives of other agencies to extend their knowledge of how the company can improve the use of its information systems. The EHR administrator will bring their organizational skills, attention to detail, knowledge of EHR functionality, experience using reporting tools, and end user training to support the company’s effective evaluation and ongoing process improvement of the company’s information systems.Required Tasks:Investigation and resolution of user questions and issuesPoint of contact for vendor, meeting with client alignment executives on a regular basis about functioning, support needs, projects, and new integrationsPoint of escalation for issues requiring vendor, including submission and working of tickets with vendor support team until problem is addressed or question is answeredReview of system release notes, attending webinars on new features or changes, communicating expected impact of changes to end users, and any testing needed before or after a new releaseManage system account creation, access, security roles, and closing at time of separationTrain employees in the use of electronic health recordsCreate and update supporting documentation for end usersParticipate in state and topical user groups and online communities devoted to our solutionsDesign forms and procedures for consistent data entryProgram workflowsEvaluate new functions and opportunities and arrange demonstrations for stakeholdersRecruit and develop power users to serve as internal resources for their departmentsTrain providers, supervisors, and managers how to run system reportsAuditing of user access and securityDevelop and manage projects to rollout new functionality and content standardsOther duties as assignedQualificationsEDUCATION:
Minimum 4-year college degree or equivalent experience.EXPERIENCE:Required:Minimum of two years experience as EHR database power userExperience training end users on how to use softwareExperience with systems development, testing, and implementationDemonstrated ability to use Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Forms) for documentation and reportingExperience with project management, particularly implementation of new functionalityPreferred:Experience with myEvolv and/or CredibleHealthcare experienceDatabase management skills and experience with SQLSupervised by:
