SVP, Head of HR Governance

team.The
Head of HR Governance
will provide strategic leadership to design, implement, and manage governance, policy, and employee relations frameworks across all HR functions globally. This role is essential in establishing and maintaining key policies that align with Sompo’s global business objectives and diverse regulatory environments, ensuring scalable, compliant practices that support the company’s growth.Location:
This position will be based out of our
Boston, MA, Purchase, NY or New York City
office.What you’ll be doing:Lead the design, evolution, and oversight of a global HR governance framework , ensuring the development, implementation, and maintenance of key policies, practices, and procedures that are consistent, scalable, and compliant across all regions.Ensure clear accountability, controls, and reporting mechanisms
by collaborating with global HR teams, legal departments, and senior leadership.Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive compliance systems
to meet international and local labor laws, regulations, and ethical standards.Establish and maintain key HR policies
that drive a culture of ethical behavior and decision-making across the organization.Provide education and guidance on HR governance and compliance
to global HR teams.Spearhead the development and maintenance of a strong employee relations function .Utilize HR data and analytics
to assess the effectiveness of governance practices.What you’ll bring:Extensive knowledge in HR & Corporate governance, operational HR, employment law, employee relations and an understanding of the insurance industry.Experience collaborating and working with stakeholders at all levels of HR, Audit, Risk and Legal functions.GDPR knowledge with the ability to translate data legislation into HR practices.Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, Law, or related field. Advanced degree (MBA or Masters) preferred.Minimum of 15 years of experience in HR governance, compliance, or related roles, with at least 7 years in a leadership position.Strong communication skills, experience of liaising with and influencing senior stakeholders.Salary Range:
$210,000 - $300,000 Actual compensation for this role will depend on several factors including the cost of living associated with your work location, your qualifications, skills, competencies, and relevant experience.At Sompo, we recognize that the talent, skills, and commitment of our employees drive our success.
