The position will lead a team of Dental Sterilization Technicians, overseeing the entire sterilization process to maintain the highest standards of infection control. The Supervisor is expected to handle assignments that are tied to Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Healthcare (AAAHC), Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Quality Assurance, and Quality Improvement compliance.This position has two (2) levels designed to provide progressively more responsible and independent work experience. Progression between job levels is based on the demonstrated ability to successfully handle more progressively responsible assignments.Qualifications:High School diploma or GED.Two (2) years of experience in sterile processing OR demonstrated proficiency working at SCF as a Dental Sterilization Technician.Current Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA) Certification Certified Registered Central Sterile Technician (CRCST) OR Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD).Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required. ACLS, NRP, ATLS, ALSO, and PALS as required for specialty.Additional Qualifications for Supervisor of Dental Sterilization Technicians II:Two (2) additional years of experience at the Supervisor of Dental Sterilization Technicians I level OR demonstrated proficiency as a Supervisor of Dental Sterilization Technicians I.Current HSPA Certification in Healthcare Leadership (CHL).Native Preference:Under P.L. 93-638, as amended, the company pursues a policy of Native preference in hiring, contracting, and training. SCF Human Resources must receive certification before applicants receive preference.Employee Health Requirements:Compliance with our Employee Health procedure is a condition of SCF employment. You are required to agree that you will comply with all job-related employee health screening and immunizations prior to your first day of employment.
