Control Manager
to join our
offshore trustee and mutual fund administration team
at our office in
Camana Bay, Cayman Island – Hybrid work schedule .In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:Developing, implementing, maintaining, and monitoring the entity’s policies and procedures in line with current Cayman Islands’ Laws and Regulations and BNY internal policies in order to ensure a solid compliance environment.Keep informed of changes to local regulations and communicate with local colleagues and other stakeholders.Acting as the lead in procedural projects and any local regulatory driven transformation projects.Serve as primary contact and assist with regulatory inspections and internal audits or reviews.Assist with risk assessment reviews, including AML risk assessments.Serve as the Company’s Data Protection Officer and Privacy Champion.Updating and maintaining the risk management database, including preparing and presenting risk management reports to the General Manager, the Board and other stakeholders.Acting as point of contact for regulators, AML Officers, legal, risk and compliance advisers and other parties.Ensuring timely submission of regulatory filings for the entity and client funds.To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:At least seven years proven work experience in a field related to Risk and/or Compliance within the finance industry.An internationally recognized degree and membership of a professional association (e.g. law, accounting, ACAMS) is preferred.At least three years of experience at manager level is preferred.A comprehensive understanding of trust and fund structures, and their associated risks.Solid understanding in the regulatory framework and requirements within the trust and fund industry, particularly in the Cayman Islands.Independence, leadership and organizational skills and a keen attention to detail.Strong project management skills.Strong English written and verbal communication skills.Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft suite of applications.At BNY, our inclusive culture speaks for itself.
