Description

The Syndicate Claims Manager will be responsible for managing the end-to-end claims process for a portfolio of Cyber, Tech and Media syndicate insurance policies.

The role of the Syndicate Claims Manager will work closely with internal and external stakeholders which includes CFC Syndicate 1988, Asta Managing Agency, market capacity, cover holders, whilst being subject to all relevant legal and statutory (including FCA and Lloyd’s) requirements and obligations.About the role

Key responsibilities of the Syndicate Claims Manager will include but not limited to:Ensure effective oversight of claims managed pursuant to Delegated Authorities /TPA Arrangements through review of the presentation of monthly bordereaux submitted via the Binding Authority Broker and in accordance with the Claims Handling agreement as set out the in the Binding Authority Contract(s).

Ensure all claims handling processes are compliant with relevant regulatory and market standards, including Lloyd's and Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) requirements. Stay up to date with industry regulations, market practices, and emerging trends.

Proactively handle claims referred to CFC Syndicate in accordance with Syndicate Claims Best Practices and LCLA from first referral through to resolution and in accordance with Lloyd’s claims handling framework for Delegated Authorities with adherence to Lloyd’s claim schemes, Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) and Conduct Risk.

Analyse claims data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement. Prepare and present regular reports to senior management, highlighting key performance indicators (KPIs), financial metrics, and operational efficiency.

Ensure that CFC Syndicate manage claims presented in accordance with Lloyd’s SLA’s, including Loss Fund and cash call management.

About you

We are looking for a candidate who has demonstrable leadership experience within a Lloyds Syndicate across a portfolio of different business lines. You will also have:Knowledge of and experience in managing and adjusting across multiple jurisdictions.

Excellent understanding of insurance policies, share / asset purchase agreements and underwriting guidelines.

Ability to communicate, influence and negotiate with sophisticated counter-parties.

Strong stakeholder (internal/external) management including capacity providers.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Strong people management skills (e.g. team leading, recruitment, performance management etc.)

Excellent understanding of market processes and systems

Degree level qualified, legal qualification preferred

CII qualification essential

DIP CII preferred
