Join us in transforming the insurance industry and making a positive impact on underserved communities.The RoleWe are seeking a skilled and experienced Claims Manager to join our team at Sigo Seguros. As the first hire in the Claims department, you will play a crucial role in establishing and leading the claims operations. By ensuring efficient claims management and providing exceptional customer service, you will contribute to our mission of delivering accessible and equitable coverage to our policyholders.This role reports directly to the Vice President of Insurance.ResponsibilitiesManage the relationship with the Third Party Administrator (TPA) and claims process, ensuring efficient and accurate handling of claims.Along with the VP of Insurance, set performance goals, monitor metrics, and drive continuous improvement.Build and lead a team of claims adjusters over time, providing guidance and support.Review and analyze claims bordereaux, collect information related to claims, and identify trends and opportunities for improvement.Ensure compliance with regulations and company policies.Foster positive relationships with policyholders, agents, and external partners.Stay informed about industry trends and leverage technology for process enhancements.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Business, Insurance, or related field preferred,
but not required .Minimum 2 years of auto insurance claims management and/or adjuster experience.Proven leadership skills and team management experience.In-depth knowledge of auto insurance policies, coverage, and regulations.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.Detail-oriented with proficiency in claims management systems and technology.Ability to adapt in a fast-paced and changing environment.Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish desired.What we offerHealth insurance.Generous early-stage equity grants.Flexible work environment.Responsibility and autonomy at a growing company.The opportunity to build something big and exciting.
