Assistant Director of Residential Services

We are seeking an
Assistant Director of Residential Services to join our team of caring professionals.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO
Ensure all residential programs maintain compliance with governing regulations (including day programs attended by residential individuals as applicable).
Attend all OPWDD recertification audits and respond with a written plan of corrective action following up on all matters related to regulatory compliance.
Participate in QA Internal Audit reviews and assure responsiveness from management and administrative teams.
Monitor and ensure the implementation of all existing and new policy and procedures and regulations.
Monitor all aspects of physical plant and life safety requirements to ensure timely completion of needed work.
Ensure reconciliation and proper management of facility and individuals funds conducting periodic reviews of in-house systems.
Develop and ensure implementation of systems to address identified needs of the facility.
Be available for technical assistance to all facilities under your supervision.
Review and give input on staff disciplinary actions, staff evaluations, and all staffing matters as they relate to residential services.
Attend annual team meetings for individuals with significant issues.
Maintain open communication with family, parents, advocates, correspondents and any outside agencies providing services for the individuals.
Responsible to assume the duties of the QIDP or management of a facility as necessary.
Participate in new development as directed by Executive staff.
Maintain open communication with administrative and executive staff.
Interface with Auditors, Community Partners, City and State Officials.
Attend meetings and committees as assigned by the Agency including but not limited to; management team meetings, department budget and staffing reviews, admissions/discharge committee, IRC, HRC.
On call for emergencies related to the Residential programs 24/7.
Other duties as assigned by the Agency and/or Executive Director
QUALIFICATIONS
BA/BS in the Human Services or related field, MA preferred.
Five years experience working with people with Intellectual and developmental disabilities
Three to Five years supervisory experience preferred
Excellent verbal, written, and technical communication skills
Valid NY State Drivers License required
Pay Rate: 85,000 - $88,000 per year- Full Time
