Position Summary

As the Content Creator for UCLA Alumni Affairs, you’ll be an essential resource to our team as you connect with our alumni, learn about their inspiring stories, and translate them into vibrant content that advances our digital engagement approaches. You will oversee the development of content and alumni stories across digital platforms with a focus on deepening engagement, fostering connection and interaction, and increasing awareness of UCLA Alumni to our global community. You will manage all aspects of the creation, execution, monitoring, and analysis of our alumni digital engagement, content creation, and storytelling. Salary & Compensation

*UCLA provides a full pay range. Actual salary offers consider factors, including budget, prior experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure, and certifications, and other business considerations. Salary offers at the top of the range are not common. Visit

Qualifications

Minimum of five years' professional digital engagement, social media, or marketing experience, including strong success using social media within a university or related setting and/or to grow a consumer brand through creative out-of-the-box thinking that drives measurable results. (Required)Strong knowledge of and experience in leveraging digital tools, social networking sites, plugins, video, and photo sharing sites, etc.; knowledge/understanding of basic digital marketing principles and strategies. (Required)Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with web graphic design programs and multimedia programs; highly engaged, both personally and professionally, in digital/social media. (Required)Demonstrated strong project/time management skills; flexible with demonstrated ability to work well under pressure; independently perform responsibilities; provide proficient follow-up and make effectively timely decisions within deadlines under minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment. (Required)Highly collaborative with well-developed interpersonal skills; ability to work as part of a team, be an effective/unified team leader to build consensus, anticipate/work through challenges, and develop strategies for mutually agreed-upon solutions in a diplomatic manner. (Required)Resourceful with strong critical thinking skills; ability to make recommendations, develop and implement initiatives on behalf of the department. (Required)Strong analytical skills to define problems and meet objectives, identify relevant factors and concerns, and recognize alternatives and their implications. (Required)Creative and diligent with strong internet research skills and an ability to find and compile interesting and relevant content (blog posts, news items, photos, video, etc.). (Required)Outstanding verbal and written communication skills to convey a wide variety of information to individuals and groups; able to facilitate communication and understanding among internal/external stakeholders; strong active listening skills. (Required)Detail-oriented, goal-oriented, well organized, and focused with a high level of initiative and energy; ability to work effectively in a large, complex organization. (Required)Able to use good judgment in situations requiring independent initiative and tact; ability to handle confidential matters in a discreet and sensitive manner. (Required)Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft suite of applications and other software to produce meeting documents and maintain complex databases, tables, reports, etc.; ability to learn new technologies in a prompt, efficient manner. (Required)Willingness to keep abreast of industry trends and technologies and contribute frequent suggestions. (Required)

Education, Licenses, Certifications & Personal Affiliations

Bachelor's Degree in business, marketing, communications, or related field. (Preferred)
