experienced science planner(s) with various project responsibilities. May
work on multiple, simultaneous projects.Begin
to participate in planning exercises. Start to solve planning issues
including departmental relationships and programming parameters.Participate
in client and user group interviews for needs assessment and implement lab
planning documentation. Begin to understand lab equipment and its impact
on research spaces.Begin
attending client meetings to observe the presentation process and
sometimes participate.Assist
in developing lab programming and planning parameters, including lab
functional models, lab staffing, and detailed lab design for client
meetings.Begin
developing work relationships with team members and consultants to ensure
an integrated project is on schedule and within budget.Begin
to understand the principles of sustainable design. Incorporate those
principles in all planning and design decisions.What you bring to this roleExperience:Minimum
of three years of recent science planning experience with a focus on
master planning, programming, and developing large complex laboratory
facilities required.A
broad base of experience with a focus in science and technology facilities
for academic, bio-pharmaceutical, government, or process planning
preferred.Projects
completed with multiple clients ideal.Basic
knowledge of codes, standards, and guidelines as related to labs,
individual municipalities, State, IBC, ADA, ANSI, NFPA, NSF, cGMP, and
cGLP.Software:Revit
proficiency required.Previous
experience with AutoCAD preferred.Education:Associates
degree in architecture, engineering, planning or related field required;
architectural degree preferred.Professional
registration preferred.Sustainability
