Retail Training Coordinator

POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for training both operational and sales skills to new employees in Retail Banking positions. Will be the primary trainer for all Tellers and Customer Service Representatives (CSR). Will design, create and implement relevant training materials and coordinate scheduling of all Retail related training as required by Retail Management. Will work directly with Retail Operations Officer on other training projects as necessary. Conducts relationships and activities consistent with established Bank policies, procedures and systems, the corporate code of conduct, and all applicable State and Federal laws and regulations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Prepares and conducts all teller, CSR, and operational training to include, in-window, at desk, classroom and follow up observation sessions.Maintain and monitor appropriate checklists and other documentation to effectively record the trainee's performance in progress.Make recommendations on further training needs for tellers and CSR's.Works with Retail Management to identify performance issues with tellers and CSR's and provides further training as needed.Assists the Retail Operations Officer with additional projects and training needs.Coordinates meetings and the need for training equipment when necessary.Design, develop and create training resources including visual displays from researched information, information obtained from specialist or other source, or own knowledge of a specific area to be trained.Investigate available training methods and procedures to determine the most effective manner to conduct programs.Compile and/or revise training materials and manuals when appropriate. Maintain an appropriate inventory of training materials and manuals.Coordinate schedules and conduct training meetings with mentors for Tellers and CSRs.Maintain a neat and orderly work area and ensure that all confidential records are secured and/or disposed of properly.Attend appropriate training meetings as representative for the bank at Holding Company level.Maintain a training schedule for all retail training.Manage the First Line of Defense and Teller Solutions to ensure all required employees attend as required by Holding Company standards.Create and administer Ad-Hoc retail training as required by Retail Management such as New/Revised products/services, New CSR/Teller Platform, and Refresher classesADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist others in the bank as needed and/or directed.May be assigned other duties and responsibilities.May be assigned work or training at other assigned locations.POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Previous training experience is preferred, but not required.Previous retail banking experience is required.Good training technique and presentation skills. Good public speaker at ease moderating large groups and able to adapt training to a wide variety of audience members.Creative ability, writing proficiency, visual graphics design ability.Training Facilitation SkillsAptitude for research. Ability to analyze information and make recommendations and/or decisions.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Must possess good judgment skills and the ability to handle confidential information.Ability to read, write, and speak English. Effective oral and written communication skills.The ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.Familiarity with financial institution products and services, policies and procedures.Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with employees, supervisors, and management.Strong PC skills required; knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint preferredWillingness to assume additional responsibilities/duties/projects as they arise.Ability to maintain regular and predictable attendance.Ability to operate teller and office equipment including computers calculators/adding machines, telephones, voicemail, copy machines and scanners, and FAX machines.Ability to drive a vehicle. Must maintain a current, valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record for bank insurance purposes.
