Overview:
A Residential Escrow Assistant supports one or more residential escrow officers in processing files, file workup, recording and funding files, and customer service. They are an integral part of the escrow team and will assist in keeping the escrow team desk organized, communicate with clients, and participate in committees and industry-related events.Duties:o Answer phone calls, emails, and greet customers with an emphasis on building customer relationships.o Open orders, initial file set up, and email all parties to establish lines of communication and clarity.o Maintain file system and calendars for escrow team.o Handle deposit and disbursement of funds, transmittal of funds and wire verification.o Maintain the escrow flow process and continually executes tasks as they are due.o Process loan packages and handle lender requests to include creating CPL and balancing funds.o Support the escrow officer at each stage of the transaction.o Provide curative support in ordering assessments and payoffs.o Accurately fund files at closing where needed and disburse all funds in accordance with compliance and escrow instructions.o Consistently work as a part of a team; must have the ability to interact with others in a respectful manner.o Build and maintain relationships with clients and agents.o Cross train to consistently grow and provide assistance where needed.o Follow all compliance regulations set by the Company, industry, state, federal, and local authorities.o Act as liaison between all parties of the transaction where needed.o Coordinate with the title department to ensure accurate and timely commitment dissemination.o Participate in periodic escrow department and branch meetings.o Record legal documents in appropriate counties.o Assist in coordinating closings whether in person, electronic or with mobile notaries.o Maintain required escrow training per Company standards.o Play an active role in knowing and supporting the Company precepts.o Additional duties as assigned by Company leadership team.Education:High school diploma or equivalent.Experience:o Participation in committees as assignedo Technology proficiencies with Office programs and Company-required applicationso Current notaryo Multi-taskingo Perform well in high stress environment
