Through leading our engineering team, you will help us continue to launch world-class product innovation.Your assignment
You will lead all development and execution of innovative product strategies for our range of building materials, including the CAMO, STINGER, and PRO-FIT brands. Reporting to our VP of Product Development, you will ensure that we stay ahead of market trends and meet evolving customer needs, driving the company’s product portfolio.You will also oversee the engineering team, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and technical excellence to deliver high-quality, cutting-edge products that meet company standards for quality, reliability, and functionality.Key Responsibilities:
Lead, develop, and mentor the engineering team, fostering collaboration and innovation.Develop and implement a product innovation strategy that aligns with the company’s short and long-term goals.Lead the ideation and development of new products and enhancements, ensuring a robust pipeline of innovative solutions that meet the needs of the marketplace.Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and brand leadership to integrate market insights and customer feedback into product development.Oversee the engineering design process, ensuring products meet quality, functionality, and manufacturing standards.Coordinate with external partners to integrate new technologies and materials into product designs.Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety/legal regulations, and best practices.Lead cross-functional teams through the product development lifecycle, from concept to launch.Drive initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality within the development and engineering teams.Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to identify innovation opportunities.Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, including sales, marketing, supply chain, and quality.Present product concepts, prototypes, and updates to senior leadership and other stakeholders.Collaborate with external partners, including suppliers and industry experts, to leverage new technologies.Ensure product innovations meet or exceed customer expectations in quality, performance, and value.Analyze market data and customer insights to guide product innovation efforts.Stay up to date with regulation and compliance requirements.Other duties as assigned.Required Skills:

Meet or exceed company goals for launching innovative products annually that contribute to company revenue goals, ensuring alignment with market trends and customer needs.Develop key performance indicators and implement strategies that reduce time and cost of bringing new products to market by optimizing processes and fostering effective collaboration with internal teams and external parties.Secure new patents annually, expanding the company’s intellectual property portfolio and reinforcing its position as a market leader in the building materials industry.Acceptable completion of duties in a manner consistent with National Nail’s values and culture.Successful collaboration with other departments to deliver organizational goals.Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, product design, or a related field; master’s degree preferred.Minimum of 10 years of experience in product development and innovation within the building materials or manufacturing industry, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.Proven experience managing and developing high performing engineering teams and leading complex product development projects.Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or similar process improvement methodologies is highly desirable.Be an outstanding person and teammate, elevating those around you.About Us
