The Chief Executive of Fieldays would oversee a very capable senior leadership team who in turn run a highly performing operational team, managing one of the country’s largest events management businesses. The annual Fieldays event is one of the largest events of its type in the world, while the Mystery Creek Events Centre is able to cater to events from large concerts to small corporate gatherings.Fieldays as a Society has a wider vision to advance New Zealand’s primary industries for the benefit of the nation through collaboration and leadership in innovation, education and globalisation while bringing town and country together. Combining the ongoing operational excellence of their events management business with achieving the wider objectives of the Society is the vital task of the Chief Executive.After changes forced by the Covid pandemic, a five-year recovery plan is well underway. This has enabled the organisation to now look forward to a myriad of development and growth opportunities. Fieldays has the unique position of being at the centre of developments in the Waikato region, being at the centre of major changes in the New Zealand economy and connecting our country with the rest of the world through primary industry.What we are looking for
A seasoned CEO or senior level General ManagerA person who truly understands the thought patterns, commercial logic, culture and strategic position of our primary industries in New Zealand and the world.A connector of people, ideas, organisations, industry groups and influencers to enhance their existing businesses and the Society’s aims.A leader who has the interpersonal skills to gain the trust and respect of people at all levels.Proven skills to demonstrate financial acumen, understand risks and reward (both seen and hidden) and someone who is extremely well organised.An executive who will challenge the status quo and can demonstrate the ability to create positive change.An individual who can develop a long-term vision while maintaining operational excellence and bringing people along on the journey.How to apply?
