Job Summary:

This position will assist the Sr. Network Engineer to help define and validate the implementation of security controls on MCRS systems and applications. Provides advanced-level data network design work, implementation, documentation, and troubleshooting with particular focus on firewalls and security. Responsible for technical and policy based oversight of advanced networking hardware and circuitry. Provides network services support at an advanced level to application developers, end users and other operational personnel. Provides group design and product recommendations and configurations. Requires mastery-level skills and experience in network security, firewalls, DNS and DHCP design and troubleshooting, Internet environments, IPSec and SSL-based VPNs, remote access, and wireless networking. Install, configure, operate and manage all aspects of the VMWare, Storage Area Network (SAN) hardware and software. The candidate shall use their experience with SAN to include Snaps, storage provisioning, management software, recovery procedures, hardware installation and security of Logical Unit Numbers (LUNS) and access to each to provide SAN support.Essential Duties And Responsibilities:Local & Wide Area Network and Network Security SupportActs as subject matter expert on network security and firewall policy analysis, QA, and review.Responsible to architect and engineer MCRS network border security approach.Performs network and security hardware and software configuration auditing and reporting.Ensures standards are maintained for firewalls and other network edge device version updates & patches.VMWare hardware/software to provide networking services. The system environment is VMware based with EMC SAN storage infrastructure.Managing Active Directory in an enterprise environmentResponsible for design, installation, programming, maintenance and support for systems including but not limited to servers, Windows, SQL, Linux, Unix, networks, telephony (including VoIP), cable infrastructure, virtual machines, e-mail, anti-spam, anti-virus, asset management, system monitoring, alerts, power management, disaster recovery, EMC Data Domain backup and business continuity.Interfaces with vendors and MCRS partners to ensure security is maintained and integrated into all network connectivity activities.Produces and interprets network security analysis reports.Provides, on an as-needed basis, escalation for network outages and troubleshooting.Develop and perform network security audits, configuration backup procedures, and other recovery processes in accordance with the organizations disaster recovery and business continuity strategies.Deploy and maintain WAN, LAN and wireless networks including routers, switches, and related hardwareTroubleshoot, identify and repair complex network issues for WAN, LAN, Internet connections and end-user issues while working within internal ticketing/trouble reporting systemsAbility to interpret technical drawings and specifications and implement network configurations that meet those documented requirements.Conduct research on network products, services, protocols, and standards to remain abreast of developments in the networking industry.Coordinate with MCRS security team members and implement policies, procedures and technologies to ensure security and integrity of the enterprise network environment.Review technical requirements, establish project milestones and tasks and determine level of effort estimates for their completion.Develop and perform network security audits, configuration backup procedures, and other recovery processes in accordance with the organizations disaster recovery and business continuity strategies.Prepare and maintain documentation of network standards, configurations, procedures and cabling layoutsPerform all work in a manner to ensure interoperability and maintain compliance of enterprise network systems.Conduct research on network products, services, protocols, and standards to remain abreast of developments in the networking industry.Oversee new and existing equipment, hardware, and software upgrades.Perform Incident, Problem and Change management tasks as determined by management (including but not limited to Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Request For Change (RFC) and event/incident management)Be on call on a rotational basis to support essential business clients and emergency situations.Provide purchase justifications and project benefit analysis.Capable of assisting with the design of infrastructure projects.Performs other related duties as assigned.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:Requires strong leadership and motivational skills. Qualifications:AS400, Microsoft and Linux Operating Systems, integrated voice and data systems, LAN/WAN infrastructures, topologies and protocols, current IT infrastructure trends, Expert Cisco skills (all firewall and VPN platforms), DHCP appliances, Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls, Riverbed WAN optimization technologies, network security and management frameworks, firewall policy, analysis, and view, Cisco network load balancers, Cisco wireless systems. Strong project coordination skills. Strong relationship management and negotiation skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Strong analytical skills. Strong ability to interpret impact of technology choices.EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:Bachelor's degree in MIS or similar technical program or acceptable industry and work experience. Six to eight years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of higher education and experience. Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) preferred. IT technical or engineering.Cisco LAN/WAN hardware and Cisco/ firewall experience required.Network security auditingConfiguring routers, switches and firewallsThe IOS model with experience in layers 1-3 and associated protocolsVMWare Servers, Windows, SQL, Linux, Unix, networks, telephony (including VoIP), cable infrastructure, virtual machines.3+ years experience supporting enterprise networks and/or large data center environment.3+ years design and implementation of layer2/layer3 routing and switching on Cisco IOS or Data Center products.Hands on, demonstrable experience in one or more of the following technologies: Cisco, HP, Aruba, Brocade, Checkpoint, Palo Alto, Bluecoat, Infoblox, Solarwinds, F5Experience working in a highly regulated environment (MICS, PCI, SOX)LICENSES, CERTIFICATES & REGISTRATIONS:Must undergo and successfully pass a background investigation to obtain and maintain a gaming license issued by the Morongo Gaming Agency.LANGUAGE SKILLS:Must have the ability to read, analyze and interpret technical procedures and manuals written in English. Must be able to write grammatically correct reports and correspondence. Must have the ability to communicate interpersonally and respond to inquiries from groups of managers, team members, team members and the general public.MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Calculate figures and amounts such as ratios and percentages.

REASONING ABILITY:Must have the ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form. Troubleshooting ability consists of defining problems, collecting data, testing potential solutions, establishing facts, and drawing valid conclusions.PHYSICAL DEMANDS:Work involves frequent sitting, standing, walking and crouching or kneeling, reaching with arms and using the hands to manipulate, feel and enter data by frequent and sustained use of keyboard and mouse. Site work involves limited manual labor, typically involving the setup of desktop PCs, running data cables, and occasional lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds. Requires the ability to speak and hear. Vision abilities required by this job typically include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.WORK ENVIRONMENT:Position involves functioning both in an office environment and various locations throughout the premises. The office environment has low to moderate noise levels and is a non-smoking environment. The Casino environment has moderate to loud noise, dim to moderate lighting, is often crowded and is a smoking environment.

WORKING HOURS:Because we are open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, most positions require flexibility in scheduling and may require team members be available for evenings, weekends, holidays and special events. A typical workweek and normal work schedules may vary based on business needs and may include scheduled shifts Monday through Sunday.
